Blog Assignment 5- The Gulf Oil Spill
Friday we watched a video over the Gulf Oil Spill tragedy that happened last year. In at least 5 sentences tell me what was the Deepwater Horizon, what happened to it, why was the spill so hard to contain, is there anyone to blame for it, and how has the spill affected America? The Deepwater Horizon is the name of the oil rig.It exploded on the night of April 20,2010. It was hard to contain because the machine broke and the ocean is so big, they couldn't stop the spreading of the oil. I don't think their is anyone to blame for it because no one could help the broken thing from pouring out oil. It affected America by killing lots of sea animals and their populations.

The Deepwater Horizon is the name of the oil rig. The oil rig exploded on the night of April 20,2010 while some teenagers were fishing on it. The blast was hard to contain because it got caught in the current that can go all the way up to North Carolina. I don't think that they can blame anyone because there were too many people at the rig to figure it out. It affected America by killing alot of sea creatures and their types.

The Deepwater Horizen is an oil rig that blew up. The blow was so huge that the oil traveled all the way from Louisiana to North Carolina. There was so much oil that it killed alot of animals. The oil rig blew up on April 20,2010. There is no one to blame for it because there was so many people on the oil rig.

ReplyDeleteThe Deepwater Horizon is the oil rig that had the oil spill. On April 20, last year it exploded and oil spilled out. It was very hard to contain because so much oil went into the ocean. I think there is not just one person to blame for it, but the whole company, and everyone who worked with that pipe. It affected America, because the oily water hurt the animals, because it was so dirty.

The Deepwater Horizon was an oil rig that was owned by BP. It exploded on April 20, 2010 and killed many people who were working on it. It was hard to contain because it was in the ocean and so much oil was coming out so fast. There was no one to blame, because no one wanted that to happen. The spill has affected America because it killed many of our animals and people could not eat their seafood.

The Deepwater Horizon is a oil rig in the sea. It blew up and only parts of it remain. The spill was so hard to contain because the oil rig was broken so oil just leaked out of it. There is no one to blame for this bcause it was so unexspected and out of no where. This spill effected America because all the water had oil in it which affected the sea and fish and other animals in it.

the deep water horizon is a oil rig in the gulf of mexico.it blew up because it was soooo deep. the leak was spilling out thousands of gallons of oils into r water. it was very unexpected and took a few months too fix it. this is very bad because it killed thousands of animals and fish.

Deepwater Horizon was an oil rig for extremely deep drilling. On April 20, 2010, there was an explosion. 11 crewmen died. The explosion created a fireball that could be seen for 35 miles. 2 days later, the rig sank and oil gushed into the water. It was the largest oil spill ever in the U.S. I believe that B.P. is mostly responsible for the accident. They were suppose to keep the rig safe. We could not swim in the Gulf of Mexico and a lot of fish and creatures that lived in the water died.

Deepwater Horizon was the oil rig that made this oil spill. On april 20, 2010, this oil rig blew up and killed 11 people. The rig sank and that is what created this disaster. I think BP should be blames for this accident because it was their rig. Just one little accident can cause a huge disaster. Now all over the gulf, animals are suffering.
